Top 50 SFF books of all time

I have seen many top 10/50/100 lists that contain puzzling choices. So I’ve decided to make my own list that others can find strange.

Ground rules – I’ve limited it to one book or series per author. When one book in a series stands out above the rest, I have listed just that one book, otherwise I have the whole series. In no particular order, my choices are:
